I was born in the 1940’s in the
historic gold mining city of Bendigo
in Central Victoria, Australia, a post
war child. At an early age I was
fascinated by and loved drawing
wildflowers and insects from my
local bush land and gained credits
for art/drawing at secondary school.

After marriage and children, it was
in the early 1980’s that I was able
to pursue my longing to paint. Over
the years I have strived to perfect
my own style, which is still evolving.

In 1988, at a peak time for me, when
I was producing large and detailed
works, I contracted the very virulent
Ross River Virus (mosquito virus).
Chronic health problems still persist.

Since 1983, I have been fortunate
to have had seventeen solo
exhibitions plus fifteen special
home studio Easter exhibitions, as
well as achieving over thirty
awards for painting & photography.
An eight page feature article was
printed in the Australian Artist
Magazine in September, 2003.
Other information/achievements
too numerous to mention.

I love immersing myself in painting, bringing sensations and visions
from my mind on to the canvas or
paper. My garden is ever inspiring
with bulbs, flowers, wonderful
native birdlife and my husbands
fascinating sculpture (see gallery- Sculpture.)
